દેશમાં વધુ 48 કોરોનાવાયરસ-સંબંધિત મૃત્યુ પણ નોંધાયા છે અને બ્રિટનમાં કોરોનાવાયરસ સંબંધિત મૃત્યુની કુલ સંખ્યા હવે 148,941 છે, 14,126 COVID-19 દર્દીઓ હજુ પણ હોસ્પિટલમાં છે.
અગાઉ મંગળવારે, બ્રિટિશ આરોગ્ય સચિવે કહ્યું હતું કે આ બિંદુએ ડેટામાં એવું કંઈ નથી જે સૂચવે છે કે બ્રિટનને પ્લાન બીથી દૂર જવાની જરૂર છે, જેમાં ઘરેથી કામ કરવા માટેનું માર્ગદર્શન અને મોટાભાગના જાહેર ઇન્ડોર સ્થળોએ ફરજિયાત ચહેરાના માસ્કનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
“બ્રિટિશ સરકાર એકલતાનો સમયગાળો સાત દિવસથી ઘટાડીને પાંચ દિવસ કરવાની યોજના બનાવી રહી નથી, જેમ કે યુનાઇટેડ સ્ટેટ્સે કર્યું છે,” તેમણે કહ્યું.
તાજેતરના આંકડાઓ અનુસાર, બ્રિટનમાં 12 અને તેથી વધુ વયના 90 ટકાથી વધુ લોકોએ રસીનો પ્રથમ ડોઝ લીધો છે અને લગભગ 82 ટકા લોકોએ બંને ડોઝ મેળવ્યા છે.
