Viewer Created Shorts Feature: Earlier long content was favored on YouTube, but now 30 second reels i.e. shorts are getting more attention. Now people are preferring to make shorts and so are the viewers. If you watch a lot of shorts on YouTube, there is a good news for you. Here are the new features

Indeed, YouTube is working on a new feature called Viewer-Created Shorts. In it, viewers can create their own videos using the comments of any shorts video. That is, if you find a comment in any shorts that can be made into a good video, you can take it and make a shorts video. This video will appear on your channel’s home page. Along with this, other people will also be seen in shorts.

The good thing about this feature is that the creator of your video shorts (i.e. the video you got the idea from) and the author (the comment you made your video from) cannot see them, nor can they delete them. If a creator does not want to create another video from his shorts video, he has to turn off the comments in the video.

Note: This feature is currently in testing mode. It is not necessary that the company rolls it out on a mass level. The purpose of this feature is to bring more people to the platform.

YouTube previously announced that it is testing a new feature that allows users to long-press anywhere on the player while watching a video to automatically 2x playback speed and fast-forward the video. So far we have to do this work ourselves. Apart from this, the company is also working on another feature that will show users a larger preview while searching for videos so that you can find the exact moment in the video you are looking for.
