Department of Telecom released the portal –
Indian Department of Telecom has launched a porton from the domain tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in. A database of all SIM cards currently in use across the country has been registered on this portal launched by the Department of Telecommunications. Government has tried to protect people from spam and fraud with the help of this. If you feel that someone else is using the SIM card in your name, you can complain through them.
For this, first open tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in on your mobile or computer. After that enter your mobile number. After this an OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter that OTP and validate.
After entering the OTP, a list of all the numbers activated from your ID will appear which are currently active. After this you can register your complaint on the number on which you have doubt or complaint. Government will check those numbers after your complaint.
Currently the facility of this portal provided by the government has been released only for few circles. Soon it will be implemented for all places. The special thing is that after your complaint the government will check that number and block that number.
