Online Fraud: Kerala Woman Loses 7 Lakh In WFH Job Scam

WFH job Scam: Cases of online fraud are on the rise. Scammers i.e. fraudsters are targeting people in different ways by taking advantage of people’s helplessness. Meanwhile, WFH’s job offer proved costly for a Kerala woman who lost more than Rs 7 lakh.

A woman named Mandira Sharma messaged the woman on Telegram saying that a company called www.ratingdsys.com is offering a job. Sharma told the woman about the job and said that she would have to buy some online services daily and in return she would get a salary. The woman felt that the job was worth it, so she agreed to do the job.

Greed for more money became overwhelming

Initially, women were given money in exchange for work. As Mandira Sharma felt, women believe in work. He asked the woman to invest money in the company under a trap so that he could get good returns. As the victim wanted a good income, he made separate transactions totaling Rs. 7.91 lakh was transferred to the woman’s account. The woman also made a profit of 17,000 on the investment. After some time when the woman tried to withdraw the money, the website was shut down and then the woman realized that she had become a victim of fraud. After that immediately the woman went to the police station and filed a complaint and narrated the whole incident to the police.
