How to enhance your voice on calls on iPhone

Apple has launched the Voice Isolation feature for Facetime and other video calls some time back. This feature primarily reduces background noise during calls, making your voice clearer. So that the user in front can hear your voice properly. However, this feature of Apple was not yet available for cellular calls. But now with the iOS 16.4 update, iPhone users will be able to use the voice isolation feature for cellular calls as well.

However, this feature can be used by iPhone users only when the users you are talking to on the call are also using iOS 16.4 version. If you have not yet updated to this latest operating system, go to Settings and click on General. Here you will find software update option. Click on this option to check for updates and install the latest update.

Once you have updated to the latest version of iOS, then you have to follow the steps below to use this new feature.

Here’s how to turn on the Voice Isolation feature for cellular calls

1. When you are on a cellular call, open Control Center by swiping from top right to bottom. This works for most of the latest iPhones. While in iPhone SE models you have to swipe up from the bottom to open Control Center.

2. Now click on Mic Mode.

3. Finally you have to click on the feature called Voice Isolation.

Once you have selected the voice isolation feature, your voice will be heard very clearly by the other user. With this feature, Apple removes all background noise except your voice.

Along with regular calls and cellular calls, users can also use this feature during video calling on Face Time and third party apps.

Apart from this, Apple has also launched Wide Spectrum feature along with noise isolation. However, this feature is still exclusive to Facetime only.

The wide spectrum feature thus does the opposite of voice isolation.

The wide spectrum feature amplifies your voice as well as background noise. So the person you are talking to gets a better experience of your voice as well as your surroundings.

It is possible that Apple may launch this feature for other calls including cellular calls in the coming days.
