Offer times you’re free is a new feature. With which users can bring any meeting details from calendar directly to Gmail. To use this feature users click on the calendar icon while composing or replying to an email and from there, select “Offer Time You’re Free”. Doing so will open a calendar in the sidebar and from here you can schedule meetings by highlighting different days and time slots. As soon as the receiver selects any one time, he will automatically get an invitation. The new feature helps users, partners or people create meetings whose Google Calendar you see.

CreateEvent is a legacy feature that creates a Google Calendar event with the event name set as the Subject and Participant receiver. Along with this, the email body also contains information related to the meeting so that people can be informed about the event.
