Artificial Rain Technology: Everyone waits for rain because only rain gives relief from the heat. Every year, as soon as the summer season comes, people start waiting for the monsoon. Indian scientists have done a unique feat in this direction. Scientists at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) have shocked everyone by developing ‘artificial rain’ technology. It took six years of research and development to develop the technology. Advanced technology is designed to artificially create rain conditions. Which can help fight dry weather and air pollution.
Proud moment for all Indians..
IIT Kanpur successfully developed “Artificial Rain Technology”

A unique feat of Indian scientists
IIT-Kanpur successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of its ‘artificial rain’ technology for cloud seeding. The experiment was conducted with due authorization from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This test flight proved to be an important step towards the practical implementation of this technology.
The Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K) successfully conducted a test for artificial rain via cloud-seeding over a limited area on the sprawling campus. On Wednesday, a plane flew to a height of 5,000ft from the institute’s airstrip firing powder spray amid thick clouds. pic.twitter.com/2aRwwAaiJS

Now you don’t have to wait for monsoon for rain
This artificial rain project was led by Professor Manindra Agrawal, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur. He said that our capabilities in this direction have been tested successfully.
Rain starts whenever you want
In 2017, the Uttar Pradesh government approached IIT-Kanpur to offer artificial rainfall in Bundelkhand. But it took six years to reach its end. First of all, China, which developed this technology, refused to give it to India. As a result the scientists of IIT Kanpur decided to do the research themselves and acquire the necessary knowledge.
During the test, the Cessna aircraft flew at an altitude of 5,000 feet from the IIT Kanpur airfield.
