In the wake of Cyclone Biporjoy, rains with heavy winds are also predicted in Ahmedabad city. Due to which strong wind is blowing in the city since this morning. Heavy rain was expected in the city but scattered rain has fallen in some parts of the city from morning to 2 pm. No significant rainfall occurred in any area. The wind is blowing at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour due to which the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has received complaints of 34 trees falling in the city in the last 24 hours.

The cyclone is now moving towards Rajasthan after making landfall around Jakhou Bandar in Gujarat. After the cyclone’s landfall process in Gujarat, its effect is being seen towards North Gujarat, due to which its effect has started gradually in Ahmedabad as well. The wind has been blowing in the city since early morning, the wind speed is sometimes increasing and sometimes decreasing. Wind is blowing at a speed of 10 to 15 km per hour. There was light rain in various parts of the city in the morning. According to the rainfall recorded in the municipal corporation since morning, only four millimeters of rain has fallen so far.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner CR Kharsan said that following the forecast of rain, preparations have been made by the Municipal Corporation system, cameras and personnel are present in every under bridge while continuous monitoring is being done through CCTV from Paldi Command Control Center, in case of heavy rain, all personnel will be immediately deployed. Reached the field and the operation is just ready.

In some areas of the city, the weather became cold due to rain showers. Chances of heavy rain have been expressed, but looking at the current situation, there is no heavy rain anywhere in the city. Due to this advance preparations have also been made by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Officers and personnel are constantly present at Paldi Monsoon and the Command Control Room Centre. All officials have been ordered to remain in the field following the forecast of rain.
