The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall due to cyclonic circulation. As a result, there was a change in the weather in most parts of the state from early morning on Monday. Rains started in most parts of the state along with strong winds and lightning. Then Veraval and Sutrapada are defeated by Megharaja. Eight and a half inches of rain has fallen in both these areas in 24 hours. Due to this the low lying areas were flooded. Even now rainy weather is being seen. While 3 inches of rain fell in two hours in Khambhaliya and two inches in Upaleta this morning. Meteorological department has declared red alert in 6 districts of Saurashtra.

The worst impact of the cyclone is being seen in Kutch district. A strong wind is also blowing here. It has been raining since morning in Kutch, Bhuj, Anjar, Bhachau, Mandvi, Rapar. It is also raining in Mundra, Gandhidham and Nalia.

Cases of trees falling and hoardings breaking have come to light in the state due to strong winds. Rain has been reported in 104 talukas of Gujarat today. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in Kutch, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot, Morbi on June 15 and 16. There is a possibility of strong wind blowing at a speed of 125 to 135 kmph in this district. Also there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain.
