Vadodara LCB has seized 475 cartons of liquor worth 28 lakhs and arrested one accused along with the quantity of liquor. Vadodara LCB received information that a quantity of foreign liquor in a tanker was coming from Surat towards Vadodara. Based on the information, the police set up a watch near Bharthana toll plaza in Karjan. As soon as the tanker came with the information, the police cordoned it off and stopped it. On questioning the tanker driver, he gave his name as Omprakash Bishnoi. Barmer is said to be Rajasthan.

A sheet was cut between the tankers and a chorkhana was made
On inspection of the tanker, the top lids were found to be fitted with bolts. When interrogating the driver, he admitted that he had cut a sheet between the cabin of the tanker and the tanker. It was said that the quantity of liquor was unloaded in the tanker from the warehouse. The police were shocked when the police opened the door of the tanker near the driver. With great care, a trench was made between the tanker and the truck cabin. From which the police found 475 boxes of foreign liquor.

After filling this tanker with liquor, the tanker was placed under the Delhi Bypass Khargoda Bridge. From where the tanker driver had to take the tanker and reach near Dumad Chowk of Vadodara and park the tanker there. Police have seized foreign liquor worth 28 lakhs and a tanker worth 10 lakhs worth 38,65,000.
