The health department found adulteration in 11 samples of ghee

As soon as the summer season started, the Food Safety Officers of the Food Department in Surat formed different teams and took samples including paneer, ice cream, mango juice and pepper masala. In addition, in the current month, the Ghee manufacturing, storage and selling establishments were inspected and analyzed by taking Ghee samples. were sent to the laboratory for which the samples of 11 institutions were not detected as per the statutory standard.

Non standard samples fail
According to the food department, the samples were found below the prescribed standard and the analysis showed vegetable fat. Also, a complaint will be lodged before the Adjudicating Officer against the institutions/Issues whose samples have not been found as per the norms.
