The Gheda area of Porbandar district has turned into a bat because of the water being released from the upstream districts. Meanwhile, the Porbandar-Somnath highway was closed yesterday due to flooding in Chikasa village of Ghed area. However, this highway has started again today as the flood waters receded.
Narvai Mataji Temple on the Porbandar-Somnath highway and the road leading to Madhavpur and Somnath were closed due to flooding on the Chikasa village highway last day. However, as the flow of water decreased today, traffic was resumed as usual. Along with this, scenes of desolation were also seen in Chikasa village of Ghed area with flood water receding on the highway. In which the flood water washed away some part of the highway and potholes were seen lying there. So some part of the highway was completely uprooted and thrown away.
The road has been closed for vehicular traffic for one to two kilometers due to huge potholes on the road. Because of this, the road from Chikasa village to Porbandar via Narwai has been closed.
