Rajkot city SOG police have arrested Sachin Rameshbhai Vadnagara (age 35) and Priya Hirenbhai Lathigara (age 33) residing in an apartment named Sukun Heights in Vastralaya, Ahmedabad. A complaint was registered against the duo in 2022 at the A-Division police station in which Sachin had taken 34 grams of gold worth Rs 1.65 lakh from Dhavalbhai Jayeshbhai Bhuwa, who worked as a jeweler at Anmol Chambers in Gundawadi and his family Banvi. Sachin had given a check to Dhawalbhai in exchange for gold and Priya was lathi-charged in between. However, after the check given to Sachin bounced, an application was made in this matter and the matter was settled. However, after this settlement, Sachin and Priya ran away.

2.50 lakh gold was taken and check given
Apart from Dhawal, Sachin-Priya also took 56 grams of gold worth 2.50 lakhs from Vijaybhai Vasantlal Wagdia, who owns a shop called Acharya Jewelers on Savjibhai Street in Gundawadi, in return for which he also gave checks which were returned and finally a complaint was registered against both of them. However, after the complaint was registered, both went underground and a search was conducted for them. Meanwhile, after receiving the news that these two have come to Rajkot, the SOG police arrested both of them and handed them over to the A-division police, now the A-division police are conducting further investigation.

The absconding accused was arrested by Rajkot rural LCB police
In addition to Rajkot rural, the absconding accused have been arrested by Rajkot rural LCB police in Junagadh district. Based on specific information that the accused Sajjan Kodiyatar, who is involved in the crime of prohibition, is from Jamsukhpur village of Jamjodhpur taluk of Jamnagar district, the police has nabbed him and taken legal action. The arrested accused had been roaming around for the past six months in two of Rajkot district and 3 of Junagadh district in a total of 5 prohibition crimes, of which 6 crimes have been solved. It is to be mentioned that four different prohibition offenses have been registered against the accused in Rajkot Gramya, Junagadh and Porbandar during the police investigation.

A crime of violation of notification was registered against the landlord and legal action was taken
Amin Ghaffar Ankalani (aged 46) and Ashraf Ahmad Solanki (aged 45), both residents of Pinjara Street in Ramanathapara, Rajkot, had rented out their house to foreigners without informing the police about which the city SOG team was informed. Legal action was taken against both the landlords for violation of the notification.
