Heavy rains in Vadodara city from late evening till night flooded the low-lying areas of the city. In the city of Vadodara, only 2 inches of rain saw river and sea-like scenes in the same area, and societies and houses in the same area were inundated with water. Apart from this, Alkapuri Garnalo was forced to close for vehicular traffic.

Roads were waterlogged
Vadodara city started raining late in the evening after a day of rain. However, the roads of Vadodara city were waterlogged as the rain continued till late night. Rivers were seen flowing on the roads. Due to which the vehicle drivers were disturbed. Some vehicles were stuck on the road. Due to which the vehicle drivers were stuck and had to face frequent difficulties.

All areas of Vadodara city including Mandvi, Nyayamandir, Raopura, Machhipith, Karelibagh, Sama and Manjalpur were waterlogged and the pre-monsoon operations of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation reopened as the roads were flooded in just 2 inches of rain. The municipality claimed pre-monsoon operations before the monsoon. But the city was flooded everywhere. So, questions were raised about the pre-monsoon performance of the municipality.

The same area became flooded
The area around the Sama Sports Complex in Vadodara was flooded. The main roads and alternate roads were also flooded and there was nothing but water everywhere. Water entered the houses in front of the Sama Sports Complex. Due to which the residents were put in a lot of trouble.

Part of the building collapsed
A part of a house collapsed in Yakutnagar of Vadodara city due to heavy rain. Following which the team of Vadodara Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and got the mother and daughter out of the house unharmed.
