The vegetable market adjacent to the Navsari Vijalpore Palika office gets waterlogged during normal rains for years after the onset of the monsoon season. Due to this, the traders who sell the vegetables with mats face problems. If the rains stop, we also have to face the pollution. The municipality has not been able to solve this problem of waterlogging for years. Yesterday, the vegetable market was flooded due to a few rains. Therefore, the traders are demanding the municipality to arrange rainwater disposal.
Before monsoon, the municipality starts premonsoon operations in the city by spending lakhs of rupees but its positive results are not visible in monsoon. Rainwater should be disposed of immediately after it is filled, which is not happening. Yesterday, on the first day of rain, scenes of waterlogging in the vegetable market came to light.
If this is the case outside the municipal office, then what will be the condition of the entire city in the low-lying areas, there is no concrete solution for the vegetable market near the Vitthal temple near Vijalpore and the water near the police station. The municipality needs to make a concrete plan in this matter.
