Surat’s Kapodra police have busted a gang stealing from inside an electronic showroom. 8 laptops and two mobile phones were found from the show room of Jeon Enterprises in Kapodra area and a total of 2.72 lakhs was stolen. The entire incident was captured in CCTV cameras. After filing a complaint in the Kapodra police station, the police have nabbed two accused on the basis of CCTV. The police have seized all the stolen goods from the accused. It has also come to light that one of the arrested accused had stolen two bikes earlier. Before stealing, both the accused used to go to the showroom and check.
The shop owner lodged a complaint of theft
A theft incident took place on July 7 in a showroom named Jeon Enterprises located near Motinagar Society in Kapodra area of Surat. During the night, two unknown people broke the lock and entered the house, found 8 laptops and two mobile phones of different companies and stole a total of 2.72 lakhs and fled. The owner of the show room informed the Kapodra police about this and the team of the Kapodra police reached the spot and based on the complaint of the shop owner, registered a case and conducted an investigation.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV
The entire incident of theft from the show room was caught on CCTV cameras. Both the thieves were running away after the incident was captured on CCTV. The CCTV footage of the theft came to light. In which it was seen that the two came to steal on the bike and stole the valuables of laptop and mobile from the shop and ran away at high speed.
Police nabbed two accused
In this incident, when the shop owner filed a complaint in the Kapodra police station, the Kapodra police were investigating in the CCTV footage, and two men on a bike were seen breaking the door and entering the shop and stealing. In this incident, Kapodra police arrested Laxman alias Lakhan Chhaganlal Jat and Mukeshbhai alias Ajju Bherulal Salvi, originally from Rajasthan and currently residing in Surat, based on CCTV and information.
The accused also stole two motorcycles
The police seized all the stolen goods from the accused. Also, while the police questioned the accused strictly, Laxman alias Lakhan Chhaganlal Jat confessed that he had stolen a total of two bikes from Kapodra and Sarthana area and hid them at his house. Thus, the police seized the stolen property worth 3.67 lakhs from the accused and took legal action.
Before stealing, they used to go to the showroom and check the goods
The CCTV footage obtained by the police and strict interrogation of the accused revealed that the electronic showrooms where they were going to steal mobiles and laptops at night used to go to these showrooms and carry out all the checks during the day. He used to inspect where and how much goods were kept in the shop. Then, at night, they used to break the lock of the shop and steal the goods.
