Baroda Dairy has increased the price of milk again in 7 months. 1 liter of Gold, Shakti, Guy, Taza, and Slim & Trim has increased the price by Rs.2. The price hike will be effective from April 1. In August 2022, Baroda Dairy increased Gold by Rs.10 per 5 liters, and Taza by Rs.2 per liter. While in March 2022, there was a price increase of Rs. 2 per liter in Shakti and Gold.
The Managing Director of Vadodara District Cooperative Milk Producers Sangh Ltd took the decision to increase the price after a board meeting held on March 31. He said, higher prices of animal feed and fodder, rising cost of gas, labor have increased the cost of milk production. Therefore, it has been decided to increase the purchase price of milk producers by Rs.20 per kg of fat.
It was decided by the directors in the dairy’s board meeting that the election of the president-vice president will be held in May 2023. Till then director GB Solanki will continue as acting president. It is to be mentioned that GB Solanki resigned on February 22 after Savli MLA Ketan Inamdar alleged corruption in dairy administration.
