More than 54 thousand cusecs of water was released by opening 10 gates from Madhuban Dam and the water overflowed over the low-lying bridge. However, a car that was going to pass over the small bridge, which was maintained by the administration as a low level bridge, was pulled into the water flow. According to local people, three persons are believed to be in the car. After reporting the incident to the Selwas police team, the Selwas police team immediately reached the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation.

Due to the rains in the upstream of Madhuban Dam, 54 thousand cusecs of water was released from the dam into Daman Ganga River. A passing car driver tried to take the car over the low level bridge of the river. The car got stuck in the current of Damanganga river. When other pedestrians came to know about the incident, an attempt was made to save the river which was drawn into the Damanganga river. Local people immediately reported the incident to the Selwas police. A team of Selvas Police along with a team of fire department of Selvas Nagar Municipality has reached the bridge of Daman Ganga river in Dokmardi area and conducted further investigation. Necessary information has been obtained from the vehicle drivers who observed the incident site and further investigation has been carried out. Local pedestrians suspected that there were 2 more people in the car, including the car driver. Regarding this, the Selvas police have taken the help of Vapi Polos and made efforts to search for the car that was towed in the Damanganga river.
