Jayesh Mohan Kutera, who lives in Beti Rampar village near the city, has been admitted to the Rajkot Civil Hospital for treatment after drinking poison at his home yesterday. According to family members, Jayesh is the elder of two brothers and one sister. He has a daughter among his children. Due to a fight between the husband and wife, the wife Mamta Mawtar went to live in Kagadadi. Talking on the phone, the wife said that she will return only if she wants to live separately from her mother-in-law. Because of this, Jayesh drank poison. At present, the airport police has taken necessary action including recording Jayesh’s statement.
Husband dies of heart attack while talking to wife
Deaths due to heart attacks are continuously increasing in Rajkot city. Then another such incident came to light in Bhimnagar area of Kotharia Road of the city. In which 46-year-old Dineshbhai Kadwabhai Kukdia, living in Bhimnagar, died of a heart attack. According to the police, the deceased was having a conversation with his wife at his home last night. Meanwhile, he collapsed suddenly and was taken to the civil hospital at night. Where the doctor on duty declared that he died due to heart attack. At present, the police have shifted the deceased for post-mortem and conducted further investigation.
Fraudster caught after defaulting on bank loan installments
Two years ago, after taking a loan from Axis Bank, the manager of the bank filed a police complaint against the fraudster who did not pay the installments. The accused, Kanu Vaghela, who attacked the bank, was caught by the team of LCB Zone-2 from the gate of Jubilee Garden. In the year 2021, a person named Kanu Vaghela, living at the corner of Parsananagar Street No. 5/6, took a loan from Axis Bank of the city. After which he does not pay the installments and his loan account becomes NPA. A complaint was lodged by the bank manager at the divisional police station for defrauding the bank. After which the accused absconded. On the instructions of the Commissioner of Police to arrest the absconding accused, the team of LCB Zone-2 conducted an investigation and nabbed the accused from the gate of Jubilee Garden and took legal action to hand him over to the Divisional Police.
10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs.1 lakh to the accused of rape
In Rajkot, the incident of abducting and raping a girl studying in class 12 came to light. The case in this regard went to the court of Rajkot Special Pocso Court Judge Prashant Jain. In which the prosecution examined the necessary witnesses like the victim, the complainant, doctors, birth and death branch officer and the police and also presented 12 important documentary evidences. After the arguments of both parties, finally the accused Dharmesh alias Dhamo Babubhai alias Balabhai Ambalia has been convicted and sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.1 lakh. The fine amount will have to be paid to the victim as compensation. Apart from this, the victim will get Rs. 5 lakh compensation has been mentioned by the court in the order. In this case, government lawyer Mahesh Kumar S. Joshi was engaged.
