Today Bihar BJP MLA Sanjay Sarogi has accused JDU and RJD government of Bihar in Surat of corruption behind Bhagalpur bridge collapse. The BJP government has given Rs 1 thousand crore construction works to the same company which built the Bihar bridge in Gujarat. The under-construction bridge that collapsed in Bhagalpur on Sunday, June 4 has a connection with Gujarat. The scenes of the bridge collapse were caught on camera. One by one the parts of the bridge are collapsing, the sight is very shocking and surprising. Aguvani Sultanganj Ganga Bridge was being constructed in Khagaria, Bihar at a cost of Rs 1,717 crore. The collapse of this bridge has raised questions against the operation of two important bridges of Gujarat which are being built at a cost of one thousand crores.
‘Disputed company also has works in Gujarat’
The construction company that built two important bridges in Gujarat and the construction company of the collapsed bridge in Bihar is the same. SP of Haryana Singla Construction Pvt Ltd also constructs Okha-Bet Dwarka Signature Bridge and Dabhoi-Sinor-Malsar-S Road, Narmada River Bridge. Currently, the construction work of both the bridges is nearing completion and they will be inaugurated in the coming days. In the wake of bridge collapse in Bihar, questions are being raised about the quality of bridges in Gujarat. There is also a demand that before the inauguration of both the bridges, these bridges should be verified by a third party expert team. It is worth mentioning here that Gujarat has already gone through the incidents of bridge breaking. More than 100 people were killed in the collapse of the cable bridge in Morbi. While the slab of Mamatpura Bridge in Ahmedabad broke and Hatkeshwar Bridge had to be closed within two years of its construction due to its deplorable condition. A show cause notice has been issued to this company by the Bihar government.
