Monsoon has entered with a bang in Gujarat and there has been heavy rain in Saurashtra, Kutch, while the onset of rain is slow in Gandhinagar, but due to rain showers for the last two to three days, Gandhinagar district has recorded an average of 15.51 percent of the season’s rainfall so far.
The average total rainfall of the season in Gandhinagar district has been estimated at 777 mm, of which the district has received an average of 121 mm so far. That means approximately 5 inches of rain has already fallen. Gandhinagar and Mansa talukas recorded the highest rainfall of 18 percent.
Dehgam has received 16 percent rainfall and Kalol 11 percent. The district has received 21 mm i.e. one inch of rain in the last 24 hours. After good rain last night, it was cloudy during the day on Friday.
