MP Yoga competition was held for the first time in the state at Deogarh Baria Late Jaideep Singhji Sports Complex. On this occasion, MP Jashwantsinh Bhabhore said that yoga and yoga practice are becoming popular and spreading rapidly in every corner of the world. India has given this gift of yoga to the whole world. Yoga is an invaluable part of our Indian culture and ancient tradition spanning centuries.
In order to create global public awareness about the Indian yoga system and its benefits, Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi discussed yoga in the United Nations Assembly in 2014 and suggested that June 21, the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, be celebrated as ‘International Yoga Day’. Panchayat and Agriculture Minister Bachubhai Khabad said that the Gujarat government established the country’s first Yoga Board in the year 2019 to promote yoga and bring it to villages.
The ninth International Yoga Day will be celebrated at the state level at Surat in Gujarat on 21st June. For the first time in Gujarat, MP Yoga competition has been organized with the noble purpose of making every citizen aware of yoga practice and practicing yoga. Competitors who participated in different events in the yoga competition were honored with certificate-awards. Literal discourse was delivered by the provincial officer. District Panchayat President Sheetalben Vaghela, MLA Mahendrabhai Bhabhor, Ex-MLA Tushar Singh Maharaul Baba, Health Committee Chairman Ashvinbhai, Mamlatdar, Sports Development Officer, students and yoga lovers were present on this occasion.
