- Gram Panchayat member and D.D.O. Demanded punitive action
Member Murubha Pragji Jadeja has accused the sarpanch and Talati of the twin village Madhapar Nawawas Gram Panchayat of Bhuj city of creating a false record against the resolutions passed in the general meeting and demanded the District Development Officer to take disciplinary action against Talati and remove the sarpanch for abuse of power and position. .
In the letter written to the district development officer, the member further said that the general meeting was held on 27th of April. However, Talati provided the minutes of the General Assembly on 31st May, which shows a resolution contrary to the discussion in Minutes Item No. 5 and Resolution No. 63/16.
In the resolution, all the members agreed to fix a donation of 1100 rupees for the construction of a house of 100 sq.m., 2100 rupees for a construction of more than 100 sq.m. In fact, instead of a resolution, Talati has written his opinion to seek the guidance of a higher authority citing the reason that the panchayat is suffering financial loss, instead of the resolution. Donations are voluntary. But, the policy of postponing the files of applicants for withdrawal has been adopted.
Approved rates canceled by members
It is stated in the allegation that the minutes issue no. 6 and all the prices called for in Resolution No. 64 are inclusive of GST. All the members asked to cancel the price as the price of parties without number. But, against the members, Talatie resolution later demanded GST from the parties. Having made a wrong decision to decide after calling for numbers, the sarpanch has defended giving the tender to Maltia party.
