Swarnim Startup and Innovation University, India’s first-of-its-kind university committed to promoting startups, on Thursday announced that it will soon provide students with deferred placement for up to three years. It means that students who will graduate from this university can avail campus placement for a period of up to three years after graduation from the university. According to the university authorities, this initiative will be implemented from the current academic year i.e. the year 2023-2024.

The initiation of this initiative based on the feedback received from the students
Swarnim Startup and Innovation University is India’s first university dedicated to nurturing and promoting startups. Currently, 23 startups are being incubated at this university. Currently, around 3,500 students are studying at Swarnim Startup and Innovation University. This decision has been taken based on the feedback received from the students who have studied in this university. This initiative has been started based on the feedback received from the students who have graduated from this university in the past. It often happens that a startup started by a student does not perform as expected and due to this many students are left out of job opportunities. While Swarnim Startup and Innovation University is fully committed to nurturing student startups, guiding them at every stage from ideation to scale-up.

A fair opportunity to acquire professional skills
Apart from this it is equally important to understand the rapid changes coming in the market and it is also necessary to understand that not all startups can sustain their existence. However, the aim of this university is not only to promote startups and job generators, but also to ensure that the students here get jobs in good organizations and start their careers. Hence, Swarnim Startup and Innovation University has decided to start this initiative of deferred placement. Students who have graduated from this university will be able to attend campus placement for three years. Also, it will give them a fair chance to advance their careers and gain professional skills before turning back to their entrepreneurial ventures.

A university is a knowledge hub
Swarnim Startup and Innovation University is a knowledge hub, where education in subjects like engineering, architecture, design, science, management, paramedical, agriculture and several other streams is imparted in a value-added manner from the perspective of innovation, startup and entrepreneurship. In the last academic year, 1,224 students graduated from this university. So far the university has supported at least 120 startups in fields like agriculture, healthcare, green energy, IT services, design and data management.
