Public Education Society is a 110 years old educational institution of Surat. The administration of different schools colleges is done by this organization. In this very prestigious institution, most of the time, elections were done unopposed but this time elections were held. The results were declared in the evening. In which the old joggers have won again.

Election to five seats
As per the constitution of the Public Education Trust, five members of the Managing Committee vacate every year. Elections are sometimes held for committee members who are appointed today, but most of the time they are unopposed. At this time, a total of nine contenders entered the election fray for the five managing committee members. The election process went on till six o’clock in the evening. In which five candidates have won. In which Mayank Trivedi, Ketan Desai, Nikhil Madrasi, Devendra Rangrej and Dr. Anil Saroghi has won. After a long time the voting process took place and the old people also became active in the public education society.

4900 voters cast their votes
As soon as the election was announced for the members of the Managing Committee of the Public Education Society, as many as 30 forms were filled. One of the forms was cancelled. Then another 20 people had drawn on the form. As a result, out of total 30 forms, only 9 candidates remained in the election field. There are a total of 4,900 voters in the Public Education Society who exercised their right to vote. The result of the election was declared after 6 pm.
