In the recruitment examination of electrical assistant for different electrical department of Gujarat state, the examination scam was done by malpractice. Electrical Assistant [જુનીયર આસીસ્ટન્ટ]Surat Crime Branch has arrested 11 employees, including 5 women, of UGVCL in connection with the scam of passing the examination. A total of 17 accused including managers, main agents have been arrested earlier in this crime.

Total 2156 Electrical Assistants in Gujarat State Power Companies DGVCL, MGVCL, PGVCL, UGVCL and GSECL [જુનીયર આસીસ્ટન્ટ] Recruitment Exam held at different centers at Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Ahmedabad on last date. Taken on different dates between 9-12-2020 to 06-01-2021. In this examination, the owners of the examination center, the in-charge of the computer lab and their associates and agents got financial benefits in the collusion of each other and the candidates who misbehaved in the examination cheated by passing the online examination. A case was also registered in Surat Crime Branch in this matter.
11 employees of UGVCL arrested
A total of 17 accused including managers, main agents were arrested in this crime earlier. While all these accused are currently in judicial custody, in this case the Surat Crime Branch team conducted an investigation in Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli district to find the wrongly passed candidates/employees. From there the police arrested 11 employees of UGVCL who got government jobs by doing wrong. Five women employees have also been arrested by the police.
7-10 lakh rupees per examinee passed by mistake
The police said that in the online examination for the recruitment of Vidhut Assistant, the candidates have been fraudulently cleared by contacting agents and paying them Rs 7 to 10 lakh per examinee. All the 11 employees who were arrested by the police got jobs by passing the exam by paying Rs. In this matter, Surat Crime Branch has conducted further investigation into the malpractice scam.
