- Vice President’s challenge to teachers to provide good education in Kawali
Panchmahal district organized a school entrance festival for children on Monday and Tuesday. Jethabhai Bharwad, MLA of Shehra and Deputy Speaker of State Legislative Assembly, admitted the primary school children of Kavali village of Shehra taluk. After admitting the children to the school, Jetha Bharwad visited Kavali village of Shehra taluka during the school entrance festival and tested the reading and alphabet knowledge of the school children. In which the students of class two and three were asked to read what was written in the text book, some students were not able to read.
Vice-Chairman Jetha Bharwad reprimanded the teachers regarding the situation regarding the study of children who have difficulty in reading even when the Vice-Chairman asked the children to read by writing on the blackboard. The city MLA challenged the school teachers to give good education to the children. The vice-chairman also verified whether the Anganwadi children and pregnant mothers in the village get the scheme benefits provided by the state government.
