As many as 17 villages were alerted
17 villages under Shetrunji Dam have been alerted due to incessant flow from upstream. In which the people of the villages including Nani Rajsthali, Lapalia, Lakhawad, Maidhar, Mendha and Bhavnagar taluka of Palitana taluka, Janandali, Dantrad, Pingli, Timana, Shewalia, Royal, Makkariya, Talaja, Gorkhi, Liliwav, Tarsara and Sartanpar have been asked to be careful.

The inflow of 8117 cusecs of water started from 12:39 pm in the late night which increased to 29615 cusecs from 7 am due to which the level of the dam is now 32 feet. 11 inches have been reached, still the torrential flow of water from upstream is coming incessantly due to which the dam is likely to overflow by evening.
