The special POCSO court of Rajkot has ordered life imprisonment to the maternal uncle who committed an act against nature with his 14-year-old nephew in Rajkot’s Kubliapar in the year 2019. The 14-year-old minor was sleeping on a cot outside the shack when Sunil Solanki of Botad came there early in the morning on the occasion of the Jagran festival.

Mama committed an act against nature with Bhanej
The mother of the minor, while registering the crime at Thorala police station, said that she has two sons and one daughter among her children. In which the elder son is 14 years old and was studying in class-9. On 12.08.2019 around 9.30 pm we all the family members were preparing to sleep on the floor and this my son was sleeping with a cot outside our hut.

In the night, the family mama did a bad thing by intimidation and threats

The 14-year-old son was sleeping outside in the cot, then at nine o’clock in the morning, my son came to me and started crying, so I asked my son and told me crying that around four o’clock in the morning, Sunilbhai Gordhanbhai Solanki, who had come here for two or three days for the vigil, who was my uncle, came to my bed and slept with me in the cot and started touching me like a fave. You told me that you don’t tell anyone or I will kill you and you have done bad things to me by scaring me.

Life imprisonment for the family mother who committed an act against nature
I informed my husband and my mother about this and admitted my son to the government hospital. After arresting the accused, Thorala police registered a case under sections of POCSO and IPC 377. Assistant Public Prosecutor Atul Joshi argued the case in the Special Pocso Court. He said in the argument that the accused was called the victim’s uncle and there is a maternal-brother relationship between the two and the act the accused had committed. It is an anti-social crime. The victim testified. The FSL report also supports the crime. Such an accused should be punished as an example. Taking this into consideration, Judge JD Suthar of the Special Pocso Court sentenced the accused Sunil Solanki to life imprisonment.
