Second round of rain is currently going on in the state. For the last five days, Meghmehar is happening in the state. The districts including Patan, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha and Aravalli received light rain yesterday. On Tuesday, 90 talukas in the state received rain, with 17 talukas receiving more than 1 inch of rain. The highest four inches was recorded in Umarpada of Surat.
Less chance of heavy rain today
In Gujarat, Meghraja is likely to take a break now. There is no chance of heavy rain in the state today. However, scattered areas of the state may experience light rain.
Bayad was waist-deep in water
It has been raining continuously for the last five days in Aravalli district. There was heavy rain in Byd taluka for two days. Because of this, Baid and surrounding fields have turned into lakes. Then the 90 bigha Ram lake of Baid Nagar has overflowed. While the rain water of the surrounding villages also comes to Lakeshwari and Srinathji Park Society of Byad after the river drains overflow. Because of this, more than 100 houses in these two areas have been flooded. Residents of this area have shifted to other places. The villagers are demanding that the municipal system permanently dispose of this overflowing water.
