When the Maharaja’s ride arrived again in Jamnagar district, all the classes including the farmers got excited. Yesterday afternoon, the Meghraja made Jamnagar Panthak the destination and called Bhukkas in the Panthak between Jamnagar-Kalawad. 1 to 6 inches of rain has fallen in rural areas of Jamnagar taluka. While other taluks including Jamjodhpur and Dhrol have received scattered rain.

It is the second time that Meghraja has come to Jamnagar district. While the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains across the state including Saurashtra for the next five days, there was heavy rain in Jamnagar taluk of the district yesterday. In which 2 mm of rain fell in Vasai village of Jamnagar taluka, 10 mm in Lakhabaval village, 21 mm in Bigi Banugar village, 34 mm in Falla village, 150 mm in Jam Vanthali village where Meghraja made a stop. Due to which the Kankavati river was divided into two banks. While in Big Bhalsan village 74 mm. Aliabada village received 31 mm of rain, Dared village received 20 mm of rain. Hadiana village, Balambha village, Pithal village of Jodia taluka have not received rain. However, there was scattered rain in other villages of the taluka.

New Nir came in Jamnagar Reservoirs The city dwellers were also seen cheering for the second time in the monsoon season Meghraja and in the second rain, new Nir came in the reservoirs supplying drinking water to the city including 1.7 feet in Ranjitsagar Dam, 1.77 feet in Und-1 Dam and 1.77 feet in Und-1 Dam. 3.25 feet of new water has been received in Aji-Dam. While in Latipur village of Dhrol taluka, there was only rain. While 98 mm of rain fell in Jaliya Dewani village. So, 28 mm of rain fell in Sardara village of the taluka.

Nikawa village, Kharedi village, Mota Vadala village, Bheraja village, Nawagam village, Mota Panchdevada village of Kalavad taluka received only scattered rains. While the villages including Samana, Seth Wadala, Jamwadi, Vansjalia, Dhunda, Dhrafa and Pardwa of Jamjodhpur taluka also experienced light rain. In Lalpur taluk Pipartola village received 25 mm rain, Padana, Bangor, Mota Khadba, Modpar villages. While Haripar village has received 25 mm of rain.
