Ahmedabad: The controversy that started in August regarding derogatory pictures of Hanuman ji in Sarangpur (Salangpur) does not seem to be ending. There is great resentment among the sages and saints of Sanatana Dharma over the adamant stand of the Swaminarayan sect on the insult of Hanuman ji. The saints held a meeting in Ahmedabad in which they announced to boycott the Swaminarayan sect. So on the second day the situation remained tense in Sarangpurdham located in Botad also. All the gates to enter the temple remained closed. So in the afternoon, Hindu sages and saints reached the temple with five hundred supporters and demanded the removal of the controversial pictures of Hanuman, but the police pacified them and returned them. By the evening, due to RSS leader Ram Madhav being in Sarangpur, the matter of Sangh’s entry in the whole controversy also came to light. Late in the evening, an official statement was issued by Shri Kashtbhanjandev Hanumandev Temple.

1. Boycott of Swaminarayan sect
Angered by the subordination of Hanuman ji to Sahajanand Swami of the Swaminarayan sect, the Hindu saints have announced a boycott of all programs and religious places of the Swaminarayan community. Sources said that Ram Madhav avoided this entire controversy and left the place without commenting. Reliable sources said that Ram Madhav had come to participate in the ongoing Thinkers Summit in Sarangpur. Earlier the discussion was that Ram Madhav was mediating this dispute.

4. Complete silence on pictures, committee formed
After the day’s tense events, for the first time in the evening a press conference was organized by Shri Kashtbhanjandev Hanuman Temple on this dispute. After the controversial request of Nautam Swami, Kothari Swami of Vadtal main temple came forward. He gave a vague answer, read a few lines written in the release and left.
