The team of Sabarkantha Local Crime Branch arrested two persons who were dealing in foreign liquor after setting up a watch near Sahakari Jin Char Rasta. The team of the local crime branch found the car including the quantity of foreign liquor and confiscated the total amount of Rs 6,26,280 and registered a case and took action.
According to the information received from LCB sources, an investigation was being conducted by the team in Himmatnagar A Division police area under the guidance of LCB PI A.G.Rathode and PSI S.J.Chavda. Meanwhile, Vijaykumar of the staff received information from a private informer that two persons in a white color Swift Dzire car number GJ-18-BF-0099 were going to Ahmedabad via Shamlaji with illegal Indian-made foreign liquor from Rajasthan. Based on the information, the co-operative Jin tried to stop the vehicle from arriving by blocking the four roads. But the driver of the Swift Dzire, which was loaded with foreign liquor, tried to run away towards Hadiyol village by driving the vehicle on the road and on the divider next to the road.
Although the front tire of the car was burst, but after chasing the people driving the car, they succeeded in catching the car full of foreign liquor near Patiya of Bhavpur village. Sitting in the car are Sachin Rajeshbhai Kamjibhai Tarar (age 21, resident of Bolundra (Upsal), district Bhiloda, district Aravalli) and Vicikumar Shivaji Kalaji Kharadi (age 36, resident of Chitaria Pal, Kharadi Fruits, Vijayanagar). The quantity of this liquor was filled by Mukeshbhai salesman of Dabacha Theka in Rajasthan and gave details to the police that a man named Altaf was coming to receive the vehicle. The police seized the Swift car and 812 bottles of foreign liquor worth Rs 1,16,280 and found a mobile phone worth Rs 6,26,280.
