S.K. who retired from the post of collector of Gandhinagar district. The then RAC (Additional Resident Collector) and Chitnis are also accused in the land scam case registered against Langa. After being arrested from a bungalow at Abu, Langa was produced in court and remanded for five days. As the remand is ending on Monday afternoon, the police will produce him again in the court on Monday evening. Before Langa’s remand ends, the police have also started questioning two other accused.

The government handed over a departmental inquiry to retired IAS Vinay Vyasa after finding large-scale corruption in important revenue decisions taken by Langa as Gandhinagar Collector from April 6, 2018 to September 30, 2019. Based on their report, a complaint was registered with the Sector-7 police. Before the completion of Langa’s remand, the police issued a notice to the co-accused in the case and the then RAC and Chitnis to appear in person for questioning. Police then RAC Hanumant Singh Jadeja and Chitnis K.T. A marathon interrogation of Menat is underway.

Langa’s remand ends tomorrow, Monday afternoon. Sources said that Langa was going round and round with the police during the last four days of questioning. Therefore, Langa’s partner, the then officials who supported the scam and other people are being interrogated. It has been revealed that Langa misused his position to perpetrate land scams in Chiloda and Adalaj. However, the police feel the need for further remand to get concrete evidence. So a further remand will be presented when Langa is produced in court tomorrow Monday evening.

In the former collector Langa case, the police have conducted investigations in three different directions. Langa was picked up by the police from a bungalow at Abu. As Langa has been living in this bungalow for a long time, it is suspected that some documents have been hidden here, so a four-member police team has arrived to investigate this bungalow. A team is engaged in questioning Langa and his accomplice Balwant Gadhvi.

Langa’s CDRs were verified during police investigation. In which it was revealed that Langa had several conversations with the nephew of partner Balwant. Langa’s son Parikshit has also been interrogated by the police. Along with this, the help of CDR is also being sought to solve Langa’s political connections. In addition, the CDR of Langa’s mobile was also extracted, and the details of a big local political leader of Gandhinagar having made a huge financial profit by buying the land at a cheap price have also come out.
