In Saurashtra, 30 dams including Bhadar, Aaji from uninterrupted Meghmeher have received half to 15 feet of fresh water. 40 dam sites in Saurashtra have received fresh water from rains and 8 dams are reaching 1 to 3 feet overflow. While overflow in 34 dams remains. In which Rajkot’s Nyari-2, Lalpari, Sodvdar, Phofal and Moj dams have burst. While the level of Bhadar Dam has reached 24.20 feet.

The water problem of the city has been solved due to significant water income in Bhadar, Aaji and Nyari dams which supply drinking water to the city of Rajkot. Due to continuous rainfall in Saurashtra’s largest Bhadar Dam, the level of Bhadar Dam has reached 24.20 feet today. Where there has been more than 3 feet of water in the last 24 hours. Similarly, in Rajkot’s Jivadori-like Aaji 1 dam, where 2 feet of new water is inflowing, the level has reached 24.40 feet and in Nyari-1 dam, which supplies water to New Rajkot, the level has reached 21.80 feet with 3.61 feet of new water inflow.

Sustained flow of water in 17 dams of Rajkot
Still two days i.e. today and tomorrow rain forecast in Saurashtra-Kutch has been given by Meteorological Department. In the last 24 hours, 17 dams of Rajkot district have received fresh water due to rain in the villages surrounding Rajkot city and the rural areas and uplands of the district. In which half to 14 feet of new water has been received. While 4.60 feet of Aji-1 dam similar to Rajkot’s Jivadori is left to overflow, Nyari-1 dam is 3.30 feet left to overflow. Nyari-2, Lalpari, Sodvdar, Fophal, and Moj dams have burst.
