Provisional merit has been declared under the admission process of 53,454 seats of 139 colleges of degree engineering, in which 31608 students have been included. 21,846 seats remain vacant due to non-registration. Out of 28,900 registered for admission last year, 26,782 students were included on provisional merit. Thus 4826 students have increased in merit compared to last year.

In the Provisional Merit List, the first rank in Gujcat based merit is a student named Gadhe Jayansh of Gujarat Board, whose merit mark is 99.9975. While the first rank in JEE based merit is a student named Samarth Patel. Students can check their merit number by logging on to www.gujacpc.nic.in.

Admission will be given on the basis of JEE marks
The choice filling of mock round of admission process of Degree Engineering has started from 5th June and will continue till 11th June. While the final merit list will be announced on June 14. In 95 percent seats of government and granted colleges, 50 percent seats in self finance colleges will be given on the basis of Gujcat and five percent seats of government colleges will be given on the basis of JEE marks. While students securing 45 percent in the main theory subjects of Class 12 Science will be eligible for admission. The admission committee has appealed to the students to choose more seats.

1067 students in JEE based merit
During the registration process of degree engineering colleges for the academic year 2023-24, 32630 students registered, including 23,645 male and 7963 female students. While Gujcat based merit list has 30,541 students, JEE based merit has 21594 students. There are 1067 students in JEE based merit. There are total 20527 students who have been included in both Gujcat and JEE merit.

Admission Procedure for Total 53454 Seats of 139 Colleges in Degree Engineering
Under the admission process of degree engineering, a total of 11,411 seats of 19 colleges, 42,043 seats of 120 self-financed colleges have been found for the students, admission process is going on for a total of 53454 seats of 139 colleges in degree engineering. Out of total 19,580 seats of management, the admission process will be initiated under the existing rules at the self-supporting organization level.
