An important decision has been taken by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation in view of the storm and heavy rain situation. Under which tomorrow Pradyuman Park Zoo, Ramvan, Mahatma Gandhi Museum, 92 Primary School, 364 Anganwadi to be closed on June 17 Mayor, Sta. Chairman and Icha Mu. Commissioner’s official list states. Also, the DEO of Rajkot has declared a holiday in all the schools and colleges of the district in view of the heavy rains.

As mentioned in the list of Municipalities, rains have started again with heavy winds in the city-district from this evening. And people should not go out except for work to avoid any untoward incident in this rain. Due to this reason Pradyuman Park Zoo, Ramvan, Gandhi Museum will be closed tomorrow also in view of the possibility of rain. Also, all 92 primary schools, 364 anganwadis run by the municipality will also remain closed. Also, for any kind of help, it has been asked to call on the helpline numbers announced by the system.

In addition, as a precautionary measure, Rajkot Municipal Authority today dated A total of 2229 affected people from various areas have been shifted to nearby schools by city buses till the evening of 16th June. And food packets have been arranged for these people. Food packets have been arranged by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation in coordination with various service organizations. At present 8441 boards/banners have been taken down by Estate Branch and Decommissioning Branch and as many as 299 hoardings have been taken down through respective agencies. A total of 469 threatened trees have been trimmed by the Garden Branch and 128 trees have been uprooted due to high winds and removed from the road.

The order of the Education Officer to keep schools across the district closed tomorrow also

Due to the threat of Cyclone Biporjoy, the District Collector declared a holiday on 14-15-16 June in the schools and colleges of the district. However, one more day holiday has been declared by the District Education Officer as the storm may still affect tomorrow. District Education Officer B. S. According to Kaila, as a precautionary measure, the next 17th June i.e. tomorrow all the schools and colleges of Rajkot city and district will be closed. He also urged all parents and school-college administrators to implement this order.
