The Tax Department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation takes action for property tax due from the property holders from notice to the tax holders to auctioning of the property. In case of non-payment of tax despite strict action, action has now been taken by the tax department of the municipal corporation to auction and encumber the property of that property holder. Today, in Ratnamani Complex near Gandhigram Railway Station in Alicebridge in the western part of the city, Parijat Madhuvan Association Rs. 11.98 lakh tax was due for some time. Which is not being paid, now the tax department has taken action to register the burdens in the revenue record. The property cannot be sold until the property tax is paid off.
Chairman of the Revenue Committee Jainik Vakil said that even though the tax department is taking action up to auctioning the property, when the tax is not paid by the property holders, now the tax department of the municipal corporation will register the burdens in the collector’s office as part of which Parijat in Ratnamani Complex near Gandhigram railway station. Madhuvan Association Rs. 11.98 lakhs as tax is due, even after giving notices to him, due to non-payment of tax, action has been taken to encumbrance his property in the revenue record.

This action will not be taken wherever there is a court matter.
