The whole world is celebrating the year-2023 as “International Year of Millets”. Then the joint guidance of Mahisagar District Collector Bhavin Pandya and District Development Officer CN Patel and District ICDS. Under the leadership of program officer Dakshaben Tabiar in the district I. C. d. S. A district level “Shri Anna” “Millets Dish Competition” was organized at the District Panchayat under the Department of Women and Child Development with the theme of G-20. The main purpose of which is to spread awareness about the use of millets and the nutrients in their food to the people of the hinterlands and to include them in the daily diet of the people.

Anganwadi worker sisters prepared various dishes in this competition. Like sorghum puda-daliya-sukhdi, ragi dosa, gram flour ladoo, various grains thepla, millet laddu-vada-thepla etc. The applicants and representatives attended the Millets dish competition and imparted information about the importance, utility and benefits of the crops and also invited the district level authorities to demonstrate the dishes and observed the dish competition and congratulated the Anganwadi sisters by awarding the first, third and third number.
