A one-day-old newborn baby was left alive in Surat’s Bharthana and escaped, the child died during the 2nd week.

An unknown person escaped after abandoning a newborn baby just a day old alive near Ganga Mata temple in Amroli Kosad Bharathana area. However, while a rickshaw driver was passing by, he noticed the newborn baby. So they immediately shifted the newborn baby to a private hospital for treatment. However, due to the death of a newborn child during the 2nd week, the Uttran police have registered a case of child abandonment against an unknown person and are taking further action.

The rickshaw driver found the newborn abandoned

According to the information, 34-year-old Dineshbhai Sardarbhai Modawat, a resident of Shivnagar Society near Laltambu in Uttran Kosad, works as a rickshaw driver. Last night Kosad Bharathana took an auto rickshaw and stood at the rickshaw stand near the wall of Ganga Mata temple. Meanwhile, suddenly his eyes fell on a newborn baby lying nearby. A stranger threw the newborn baby alive, just one day old, against a wall and escaped.

Ants were stuck all over the child’s body

As Dineshbhai approached, the innocent child was covered in ants. So Dineshbhai immediately picked up the innocent child and removed the ants from his body. Meanwhile, other people also came there. All the people together took the innocent child to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment. From where he was shifted to a private hospital for further treatment.

Child died during treatment

The incident was reported at Utran police station from the hospital. On being informed about the incident, the landing police also reached the hospital. On the other hand, the doctors started treating the living child. However, the newborn died during treatment. Following the incident, the Utran police took Dineshbhai’s complaint and registered a case against a stranger for abandoning a newborn child and took further action.
