On the way from Nabipur in Bharuch to Zanor Zanor, the robbers in two other cars entered the car belonging to the jewelers of Manekchowk, Ahmedabad and robbed 2 kg of gold jewelery and 3 to 4 lakhs in cash at gunpoint.
According to the preliminary details of the robbery of Dildhadak gold and jewelery worth over one crore rupees in Bharpore Bharuch, Mukesh Trilokchand of Kiloskan Jewelers of Manekchowk, Ahmedabad, came to deliver jewelery to traders in Bharuch district on Friday. Two other persons were also with him in the Verna car. The bag kept in the trunk of the car contained 1500 to 2000 grams of gold jewelery and 3 to 4 lakhs in cash. After delivering the dowry, Jolwa jewelry in the morning, they were going to Bharuch city via Nabipur highway from Mohammadpura to Zanor. Around noon on Nabipur Zanoor Road, when a venue car stopped in front of his car, he braked suddenly. Another Nexon car was parked behind. Before the jeweler of Ahmedabad knew it, 4 to 5 robbers got out of the two cars and looted 200 tolas of gold and cash in the trunk at gunpoint.

A case of robbery of 200 tola gold jewelery near Zanoor has left the police on the run. Blockade and patrolling has been increased at all exit points in and around Zanor. Along with this, the inspection of CCTV footage of petrol pumps and hotels in the areas connecting this road has also been started.
Police suspect that the robbers may have escaped towards the National Highway, on the basis of which a watch has also been set up at the tollbooth. Bharuch SP Dr. A team of DySP, Craibranch, SOG and Division under the guidance of Leena Patil has been engaged in the investigation. SOG PI Anand Chaudhary has informed that the statement of the victim Soni of Ahmedabad is being taken by alerting the village police including Vadodara district along with blockades, vehicle checking everywhere.
