The members present unanimously approved that the power to appoint deans will now rest with the Vice-Chancellor, which was concluded in the Syndicate meeting held at Sardar Patel University on Wednesday afternoon. Thus, now the appointment of dean is still pending. As a result, the Vice Chancellor will remain in charge until the Dean is appointed.

According to the information received by the official sources of the Education Department, a Syndicate meeting was held in the Syndicate Hall at 3.30 pm on Wednesday in the presence of 18 members. In which 21 issues were unanimously approved. In which the approval of teachers, formation of a task force committee to find deficiencies in two colleges, foreign travel of teachers were discussed.

Which was unanimously approved by the members. It is worth mentioning here that, on the other hand, for the past few years, all eyes were on the Syndicate meeting to be held on Wednesday when the tenure of the deans of more than five faculties, including the Faculty of Arts, ends on the 21st. In which it was unanimously approved that the power of appointment of deans other than arts faculty should be handed over to the vice chancellor and the power of arts faculty would be with the syndicate members. Thus, now till no other decision is taken, Professor Niranjan Patel will continue as the Vice Chancellor.

Accountant responded to the fire scandal – accounting scams, to be tabled in the next meeting
In the last syndicate meeting regarding the Bio Science fire scandal and the alleged accounting scam, the then Accountant N. K. An explanation was sought from Bhatt. Meanwhile, they sought time off due to illness. Following which he was asked to reply by 20th July. Meanwhile, he sent a reply, which was received on the day of the syndicate meeting itself. Following which it was unanimously approved that it will be placed in the next syndicate meeting.

Five names were discussed in the graduation ceremony
The names of those who will attend the graduation ceremony held on 15th December every year were also discussed. In which the names of Home Minister Amit Shah, Pankajbhai Patel of Zydus, Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav were discussed. However, no name has been decided yet.
