Controversy is brewing over the appointment of the governing officer of the Nagar Primary Education Committee. Still last Friday, the Standing Committee relieved the Governor Vimal Desai and replaced him with P.O. Bharat Khunt of Smeer as the Governor. Now Ajay Bhatt has been appointed as the new ruler in his place. Due to such decisions in the Nagar Primary Education Committee, the opposition is also getting a chance to make accusations against the rulers and on the other hand, the administration is also being hampered.

A tradition of changing the ruling officer
Vimal Desai has been relieved of duty as the governing officer of the Surat Municipality-run Municipal Primary Education Committee by bringing an additional proposal. The authorities have taken the decision citing their poor performance. In his place, Smeer Hospital P.O. Bharata Khunta, who was serving as the governor, was made ruler. They took charge last Saturday and started visiting the school from Monday. Before he knew anything about the committee, another order was made today, in which Bharat Khuntane Mun. The Commissioner’s office has been ordered to perform duty. While Ajay Bhatt, who is serving as the Deputy Accountant of Udhana Zone, has been given the charge as the new Governor of the Education Committee. A lot of speculations have started in the municipality with the change of ruler in a short span of just seven days.

Rulers just rubber stamp the opposition
Rajesh Hirpara, an opposition member of the Nagar Primary Education Committee, said that since the rulers have the power to suspend the duty of the ruling officer, whichever ruler comes. He only works as a rubber stamp because he keeps feeling the threat of losing his job. If it was changed in just one week, it can be understood how serious the rulers are of the Nagar Primary Education Committee. Our demand is that the government should appoint Class-II rights on this post permanently so that he can work for the improvement of education in his own way without fear of anyone. If an officer is appointed by the government, he can work by taking proper decisions on his own, but here the brotherhood and pressure of the rulers is so much that the officer cannot even work properly.
