Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested Mohammad Naim Rajakbhai Lakhani of Bhavnagar, a fugitive accused in the Rs 1500 crore GST scam that rocked the entire Gujarat and further action has been taken.
The main accused in the entire scam, Sarvararli alias Sahil Shabbir Ali Sheikh, connived with Naeem Lakhani and masterminded the huge scam of taking false tax credits and bogus billing. After the arrest of Sahil, more names have surfaced in his interrogation.
Mohammed Rajakbhai Lakhani of Bhavnagar has emerged to have played a key role in the entire scam. Apart from Naeem’s 1500 crore scam, the system has received information that he is also running a huge fraud scam in Mumbai and is also linked to one Shroff in Mumbai.
