Vadodara City MS. A temporary assistant professor working in the university’s Faculty of Pharmacy has developed a poly herbal formulation to boost immunity. While the patent of this medicine has already been approved, while giving more information about this medicine, the assistant professor said that herbal plants were used to prepare this medicine.

University Faculty of Pharmacy Temporary Assistant Prof. Reshma Jain said in a conversation with Divya Bhaskar that every day in the world many people die due to auto immune disorders. In October-2009 I Prof. Registered as a PhD Research Scholar under the guidance of Sadhana Rajput and in the year 2014 developed a poly herbal formulation for boosting immunity and filed a patent for it and that patent got granted today.

Tested on mice
Further they said, I made a poly herbal tablet formulation. In which four different plants were used namely, Jethimadh root, lotus leaf, self heen plant and bore. Which has no side effect. This medicine increases the immunity of a person. The drug was tested on mice to see if it had any side effects. In addition, polymorphonuclear cells were isolated from healthy human blood cells and tested on them. After all these tests it has no side effects and does not produce toxicity. It was proved.

Parents died in the accident
He added that, we did research for 4 to 5 years and then filed the patent in the year 2014 and the patent was not approved in the year 2023 from The Indian Office of the Government of India. During this research I had to face many difficulties. I lost my parents in an accident in 2013, so I went into depression for a month. However, my husband Akash Jain, Prof. Sadhana Rajput and family supported me a lot and with their encouragement and moral support I completed my PhD research work in the year 2015.

We will bring the product to the market for people
Reshma Jain said, after getting the patent, one or two companies have approached me. So, now this product will come in the market and I will try my best to make people benefit from it.

  • This formulation will be useful in various viral diseases and infectious diseases by increasing immunity.
  • This formulation has the potential to make a real difference in improving people’s health.
