More than 55 thousand police personnel were given Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation-CPR training today, Sunday, June 11, as part of health and safety at 51 locations simultaneously across the state. As a part of which, police personnel were equipped with this training at GMERS Medical College located at Rajpipla, headquarters of Narmada district. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to call 108 immediately after a heart attack. If the blood does not reach the human brain during 5 to 10 minutes, the patient dies. Medical experts said that this CPR training will prove to be very important to prevent this from happening.
This one-day cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training is being conducted across the state including Narmada district in collaboration with Doctor Cell Team and ISA Gujarat Chapter. In which this CPR training is being given to more than 55,000 Gujarat police personnel of the entire state. In this training, more than 900 policemen, GRD jawans of Narmada district are being trained in three sessions.
The training is being imparted in a fully theoretical and practical manner by more than 2500 doctors and medical professionals at 37 medical colleges in Gujarat and 14 other locations in the state-wide training. During this training policemen also took oath and registration of pledge for organ donation.
