Eid-ul-Azha or Eid-ul-Juha i.e. Goat Eid will be celebrated on June 29 this year. Bakri Eid is one of the holiest festivals in Islam. In Islam, two Eids are celebrated in a year. One is called Mithi Eid, and the other is Bakri Eid. Eid conveys the message of loving everyone, while Bakri Eid conveys the message of doing one’s duty and trusting in Allah. Eid-ul-Juha is also the day of Qurbani. That is why goats or other animals are sacrificed on the day of Bakri Eid. For this reason, more than 5 thousand animals will be sacrificed on Bakri Eid this year in Anand district. In the city of Anand, 1000 goats and 1500 cattle are being sold in various areas including Gujarati Chowk this year.

Ayub Vasan, who lives in Anand Gujarati Chowk, has brought a goat for sacrifice of Rs 2.10 lakhs on the occasion of Bakri Eid. While 80 thousand to 1.50 lakh goats have been brought. They sell more than 10 expensive goats every year. Traders coming from outside to sell in Anand city and local people doing goat rearing business have flocked to sell animals. Goat celebration preparations are going on at 90 mosques and 2 Idgahs in Anand.

More than 1600 goats will be sacrificed on Bakri Eid
1600 more goats will be sacrificed in the district including Anand city. 2500 more goats and more than 4 thousand padas and other animals are sacrificed in the district. A large number of traders have landed in the area including Gujarati Chowk, Amin Manjil, Ismailnagar, Samarkha Chowk in Anand city.

Goats from 18 thousand to 25000 thousand are sold more
Goats are being sold from 18000 to 25 thousand rupees in the district including Anand city. Also, big traders are selling goats up to one and a half lakh. More than 800 goats are sold with an average of 25 thousand. The price of goats is increasing by 5 to 10 percent every year.
