Regarding the celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21, Ashwinikumar, Principal Secretary, Department of Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities, said in a press meet that this year, the ninth Yoga Day will be observed as International Yoga Day across the world with the slogan ‘One Earth, One Health for Yoga’ and ‘Vasudev Kutumpa Kaam. International Yoga Day will be celebrated on the theme of ‘Yoga and Har Gharani Angane Yoga’. It will be held at Surat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

On Yoga Day, between 6 am and 8 am, more than 1.25 lakh people, including Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi, will perform yoga together and set a Guinness Book of World Record. Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tomar said that 1.25 lakh people will join the Yoga Day program on the 12 km stretch from Magdalla Y Junction to Parle Point and from Y Junction to Bread Line Circle to Gandhi Kutir. In which arrangements have been made for 1000 people in each of 125 blocks to do yoga. A block of LEDs. A yoga trainer will demonstrate from the screen, stage. Municipal Commissioner Shalini Aggarwal appealed to all the citizens to register on the link https://suratidy2023.in to join the celebration of Yoga Day. Till date 26 thousand people have registered. He gave details that a large number of schools-colleges, university students, industrial associations, Patanjali, Brahmakumari, Art of Living, doctor associations, Gayatri family and other urban people will join in the Yogdin program.

Jaipur holds the world record of 1.09 lakh people doing yoga at once
It may be noted that the Guinness World Record for International Yoga Day celebration is held by Jaipur city in which 1.09 lakh people did yoga together, while now more than 1.25 lakh people will do yoga in Surat and create this new world record.
