The imitation industry of Rajkot is famous throughout the country. The process for setting up a new Imitation (Gems and Jewellery) Park at Sama Rajkot, the capital of Saurashtra, is progressing for the development of this industry. In this regard, under the chairmanship of MLA Uday Kangad, officials of Gems and Jewelery Association and officials of GIDC Association held a meeting with District Collector Prabhav Joshi.
Three options were given for the land
In this meeting, a demand for 25 hectares of land has been made from the District Collectorate to establish Gems and Jewelery Park in Rajkot. For this three site options have been given by the collector system. In which an option has been given to establish this Gems and Jewelery Park near Bamanbor, Sokhda, Meswada villages. These three sites of Sokhda, Meswada and Bamanbor have also been visited by officials of Gems and Jewelery Assoc.
A new door will open for the development of imitation industry
To establish this park in Rajkot at the earliest, the work has been started by District Collector Prabhav Joshi and a proposal is going to be sent to the state government under the Ayora project. The creation of this imitation park will open new doors for the development of imitation industry in Rajkot. Along with this, there will be a significant increase in the economic development of entire Saurashtra and Gujarat including Rajkot. While the exercise for the Imitation Park has already started, it remains to be seen when the park will be built.
