Due to the heavy rain in the uplands, scenes of desolation were created in Durveshnagar of Junagadh and there was water all around. At that time, an embankment was built on the banks of the Narsingh Mehta Lake for beautification, due to which the rain water that was not exported from the Narsingh Mehta Lake entered the Durveshnagar society. So lakhs of rupees were lost. Muddy water entered the houses of the people here. Then a medical camp was organized by Junagadh Municipal Corporation for the health of the people living in Durveshnagar society. The residents received a message that the timing of this medical camp is from 2 to 6. However, when the residents arrived after 4 o’clock, the doctors said that their time was up and left from there, the residents alleged. On the other hand, the municipality says that the time of the medical was from 2 to 4 and no message indicating the time of the medical camp has been sent by the health department of the municipality. Then there was a feeling of anger among the locals in this whole matter.
Sejalben Mahida, a resident of Durveshnagar, said that due to heavy rain a few days ago, the embankment built inside the Narsingh Mehta lake, due to which the water entered the houses of the Durveshnagar society, causing mud. Then a medical camp was organized at Durgeshnagar society by the health department of Junagadh municipality and the time of this medical camp was kept from 4 to 6, but when the residents of this society went to the medical camp, the doctors said that now you will not be checked up, our time is over. is Three days ago, a representation was made by the Collector’s office regarding the water inundation of the Durveshnagar society, but still the system of the municipality is not paying any attention.
Anand Chavda, who has been living in Durveshnagar for the last 35 years, said that Junagadh Municipal Corporation employees come here only to perform drama. When the cleaning work of the Durvesh Nagar Society has been carried out by the Municipal Corporation, the tractor comes with it and the scrap money is taken away from this society. Once the tractor comes for cleaning, it is never seen again. Even after spending four-four days, the houses that had water entered today due to soaking the mattresses and rugs of the residents are kept outside the house to be thrown in the garbage by the locals themselves, but no responsible person of the municipality has taken any action in this garbage matter. They don’t do it and when called, the answer is that they will come tomorrow.
Residents of Durveshnagar are made owls in the name of medical camp. This medical camp was organized at the society where the Narmedeshwar temple is located. People here are told medical camp time is 2 to 6 but when people go to medical camp time was 2 to 4 now we are told by doctors that our time is over. If the health of the people of Durveshnagar has to be checked up, then the medical camp should be kept in Durveshnagar itself.
In this regard, former MLA and present corporator Mahendra Mashru said that due to heavy rain recently, a disaster like situation was created in Durveshnagar of Ward No. 11. All the houses of the people living in this area were submerged in water. In which cooking utensils, mattresses, children’s books were soaked. There was a lot of damage and people were put in trouble. Then today a medical camp was organized by Junagadh Municipality. In which this camp was organized in the area of Narmadeshwar Mahadev temple. The camp time was kept from 2 to 4 as per the doctor. While in the mobiles of people living in Durveshnagar, the time of this camp was shown from 2 to 6. When the people of this area went to the medical camp for their health checkup, the doctors there kept packing their medical supplies. Due to which the people of this area have spread a lot of anger. It is also true that the people said that when the doctors were sitting and left, the doctors said that our time is over. So if such doctors are not supposed to take care of people’s health then what was the purpose of organizing the camp. The Commissioner of Junagadh Municipal Corporation has also been informed about this matter and it has been suggested that legal action should be taken against such doctors and appropriate legal punitive measures should be taken.
In this matter Shailesh Chudasma, the official of Manpa Health Department said that the time of our medical camp was kept from 2 to 4 and the locals are saying that no message indicating the time of medical camp from 2 to 6 has been sent by the Health Department of Manpa. The reason for keeping the medical camp timings from 2 to 4 was that after 4 PM OPD has to be started in that urban center and the patients have to be examined there so the medical camp timings of Durveshnagar were kept from 2 to 4.
